Coach’s comment: “William is a work horse in the water. It is unfortunate that he sustained a season ending injury early in his senior year. But the injury did not stop him from still contributing to the team of his teammates. He worked extremely hard with his physical therapy and was able to play in his Senior Nigh game and playoffs, even though he was completely healed. Coach’s comments: ”Seth’s work ethic allowed him to achieve in being one of the top swimmers in the CMAC League this year. His stroke and elevated kicking power propelled him in achieving being voted the CAMC League MVP this past season. Seth has goals to compete at the next level and because of his dedication and passion he will accomplish all of his goals that he set forth. Seth is a person that always sees the best in his teammates always supporting them as they work to improve their own times. Coach’s comments: “Victoria Medrano is one of the most hard working, determined and dedicated Madera High student-athletes. Everything she participates in is a priority. She puts in her full heart and passion in everything, She is supportive to her teammates, and encourages everyone she comes in contact with. She has improved dramatically in both cross country and track, and is a member of the Divisional Qualifying 4x400m relay team. Oscar Pinto Carbrera
Grade: 12. GPA: 3.63
Sports: Water Polo (4 years; Swimming (4 years)
Volunteer Work: Swam on MAT for 3 years; HOSA- 2 years; ROP Skills Challenge this year- took 4th in CPR and 1st in Medical Relay
Awards: Made 2nd team All League for water polo this year; Oscar has broken every record for swimming at Madera South. Placed 2nd in the 200 IM and the backstroke in the CMAC; D2 Swim Championships- 3rd in 100 Backstroke and 4th in 200 IM.
Oscar will be swimming for American River College in Sacramento this next year in the 200 IM and 400 IM, 100 and 200 backstroke.
Coach’s Comment: “I have known Oscar since 7th grade, I coached both his older sisters who had just as much class as he does. Oscar is always the hardest worker, in the pool, classroom and in life. Milca Martinez Lopez
Grade: 12. GPA: 3.68
Sports: Cross Country- Varsity for 4 years; Track and Field- Varsity 4 years
Clubs/Volunteer work: FFA- 4 years; Milca volunteers to help at local distance races in Madera and Fresno; Milca has competed in D1 running and has excelled in her distance running events. Milca crested the logo for the MSHS Floral Department and she designed the 2022 Senior Sunset T-shirt.
Milca plans to run at Clovis Community or College of the Sequoias and major in Graphic Design or Interior Design.

Jonathan Spraggins

Johnathan will play baseball for Merced College and would like to work for Cal Fire to fight forest fires.

Sports: Varsity soccer- 4 years
Awards: They won the McLane Holiday Tournament and the MSHS Varsity tournament this season as their team’s forward.
Volunteer Work: ROP Sports Medicine- 2 years at football games; Unified Soccer Partner- 2 years; AVID for four years; Travel soccer team on Madera United for 10 years; volunteered with Big Brothers, Big sisters events, Mad Kids with Madera PD, Live Games with Special Education students.
Brianna plans on attending Fresno State and studying Kinesiology.

Kaelei Kajitani
Grade: 12. GPA: 3.1
Sports: 4 years of baseball- 2 on JV and 2 on Varsity; 1 year of volleyball
Awards: Kaelei umpires for Little League for 3 years; She is the first female to play on a baseball team in Madera Unified at the varsity level and she is the 2nd female in the Central Section to pitch a strike out at the varsity level.
Kaelei would like to attend Fresno City and continue to play baseball or softball. She will major in Criminology and possibly go into law enforcement.
Coach’s Comments: “Kaelei is the ultimate team player, every coach’s dream. She stayed ready for her opportunities and when her number was called, she always delivered. It has been an absolute honor to coach Kaelei over the past four years. No matter what Kaelei decides to do in life, I know she will be extremely successful.
