The 93rd annual Old Timers’ Day in Madera was loaded with festivities, celebrations, and proclamations.

Friday night at the Elks Lodge kicked off the weekend, as the Madera Evening Lions Club hosted the Old Timers’ Dinner Dance, with official coronation of the king and queen and honoring of the grand marshal.

Matt Otstot was master of ceremonies for the event. He began with a brief history Old Timers Day, stating, “There is an old expression that says, ‘You don’t know where you are going unless you know where you have been.’”
