The County/Metro Athletic Conference softball match-up between the Madera Coyotes and the Bullard Knights turned into an old-fashioned softball pitcher’s dual.
Madera’s Viviana Nombrano tossed a three-hitter to pick up the win. She allowed three hits and held the Knights to a run. Meanwhile, Bullard’s Amyah Fabian held the Coyotes to just three hits before faltering in the seventh inning while the Coyotes walked off a 2-1 victory Tuesday at Zimmerman Field.
Kylie Powell’s fielder’s choice grounder scored Brilynn Santiago from third for the game-winning run with one out in the seventh.
