After two straight years of closely contested contests, the Madera Coyotes left no doubt in a 52-7 victory over the Matilda Torres Toros in the first game in the Toros’ new stadium.
The Toros won the first meeting of the two teams two years ago, 28-25, but the Coyotes won 28-27 last year. This time, the Coyotes scored early and often, including scoring three touchdowns in a six-play span for Friday’s win.
Blake Burton rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns. Izaak Lopez caught two passes for touchdowns and closed the game with a rushing touchdown. Kenji Tiscareno returned a kick-off for another touchdown.
