The Bass Lake courthouse located at 40601 Road 274, will be closed permanently on Nov. 30. All cases currently pending or filed in Bass Lake will be relocated to the Madera Superior Court located at 200 S. G St., Madera. Parties with court dates after Nov. 30 will receive notice in the mail notifying them which department will handle all future hearings.
The building currently housing the Bass Lake courthouse has many deficiencies, and no funds are available to remodel the building to meet the basic needs of the court, the public, and court staff. The building will revert to the County of Madera. All court staff currently working in the Bass Lake courthouse will be reassigned to the Madera Superior Court in Madera.
