County hears proposal to amend noise ordinance

During the Madera County Board of Supervisor’s third regularly scheduled meeting for March, supervisors listened to the second reading of a proposal to adopt a change in the implementation as well as fine amounts for noise complaint offenses, and held a discussion regarding the findings of the Public Works Department’s non-compliance with Public Contract Code by the California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Commission.

Recognizing March as American Red Cross Month, County Supervisors presented a proclamation to several members of the organization as fire season approaches March 18.

On behalf of Madera County, its residents and the County Supervisors, Supervisor Jordan Wamhoff thanked the board of directors for the Central Valley Red Cross, its volunteers and all those involved with their disaster relief efforts.
