Council adopts new budget

Madera’s City Council received, and adopted, the proposed budget for the 2025/26 Fiscal Year during a special meeting.

As June comes to an end, so too does the 2024/24 Fiscal year, and the city’s various department directors and staff have been working for months in preparation, compiling information, addressing the changes, and crunching numbers that will determine next year’s annual budget.

Wrapping up a series of presentations to the council Wednesday, Madera’s Director of Financial Services Mike Lima concluded with the FY 2025/26 budget which he brought before City Council members to consider for adoption.
