City Council honors small businesses

City Council recognizes small business owners during a special ceremony.
Local officials celebrate small business achievements at City Hall.

The Madera City Council recognized several local businesses for Small Business Saturday at its regularly scheduled meeting.

The Council also listened to several informational reports including one for the exploration of a splash pad at Lions Town and Country Park, and approved the purchase of a new mobile command unit for the Police Department during the November 20 meeting.

The City Council gave proclamations in recognition of several outstanding small businesses in recognition of Small Business Saturday. Understanding the vital role small businesses play in the local economy and workforce, proclamations were presented to Madera Cleaners and Laundry, Plaza Flower Shop, The Vineyard Restaurant, Taco Express, Casa de Tacos Neza.
