California Highway Patrol Madera officers were assisting with traffic control during the overnight road construction on SR 41, between SR145 and Avenue 15 early Thursday morning.
One-way traffic control was in place, with traffic control flaggers stopping traffic.
At approximately 2:30 a.m., CHP officers, who were monitoring northbound traffic, observed a white Chevrolet Malibu pass their location, driving on its right front rim without a tire.
