It was an emotional day for Chowchilla Chief of Police David A. Riviere, Jr. as he signed off his radio for the final time last week.
After 32 years in law enforcement, Chowchilla Chief of Police has retired. The Chowchilla Police Department gave him a send-off and let him know how much the department and the community of Chowchilla appreciated him for his service.
At Tuesday’s Chowchilla City Council meeting the retired Police Chief was recognized for his years in law enforcement and for the respect he has earned from his peers and from the ones who have paved the way for him.
“He has served with dedication and humility, and the City of Chowchilla congratulates and honors him for a career of service to others,” was said during a video presentation to Riviere.
