The Chowchilla City Council voted Tuesday night to renew City Administrator Brian Haddix’s contract for another four years.
The Council also renewed the contract of Dave Riviere to be chief of police for another four years.
Haddix, who has been city administrator since June 8, 2015, will be paid a base salary of $159,500 plus the city’s benefit package, which includes health insurance and a contribution to his retirement.
Haddix has presided over movement to improve economic conditions in the city, and recently the city was named the second-fastest growing city in the San Joaquin Valley.
Riviere, who was appointed chief in 2014, has been making $118,776 annually, plus benefits, according to the Internet site Transparent California. Although his new salary was not announced, it was mentioned he would have a step increase.
In other business:
• Finance Director Rod Pruett outlined the 2018-19 city budget during a workshop for the public. Total revenues for the city are estimated to be $38,263,554, compared to $36,377,892 for the cureent fiscal year. The largest single source of income will be the so-called enterprise funds, which are the services the city provides, and collects for, such as water and sewer fees.
Pruet said he anticipated a deficit of $163,000.

The city planning commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, in City Hall, and the next City Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at City Hall.
