A week for public works

Madera County’s Supervisors recognized National Public Works Week and pushed two road construction projects into the next gear during the third monthly regular meeting of May.

A proclamation was given by the Madera County Board of Supervisors recognizing the week of May 18-24, 2025 as National Public Works Week in Madera County. Starting in 1960, the American Public Works Association has sponsored the week-long time of recognition.

This year’s theme, “People, Purpose, Presence” sheds light on three fundamental ideals behind the motivation that drives public works professionals to serve their community.
