Madera County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call regarding a stolen Freightliner and a reported assault in the area of Avenue 9 and Road 30 on Wednesday.
This incident began when the owner of the truck, which had been reported stolen on September 1, spotted the vehicle stuck in a field. Upon confronting the individuals at the scene, one of the suspects allegedly armed himself with a shovel and attempted to strike the vehicle’s owner.
Both suspects then fled on foot.
