Madera Police Department received a report of a suspect attempting to break into a vehicle near the 600 block of S. Madera Avenue on Wednesday.
Officer Tyler Aldecoa arrived in the area and quickly located a suspect vehicle matching a description given to dispatch.
The driver of the vehicle was contacted after he parked, and initially attempted to hide in the back seat while pretending to be asleep. 42-year-old Joel Mora was ultimately arrested after he was identified as the suspect attempting to break into the victim’s vehicle, and the vehicle he was driving was found to be reported stolen.
