Madera Unified School District has opened new Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classrooms in four new buildings at Alpha, Virginia Lee Rose, and Pershing Elementary Schools.

Lincoln Elementary will open its new TK classrooms next month, with current TK students relocating to the new building once it is completed.

The expansion is part of California’s universal TK initiative, which aims to make early learning available to every 4-year-old in the state. For MUSD, it’s also a way to give families more opportunities and better prepare students for kindergarten and beyond.
