Fallen law enforcement officers of Madera County will be honored by the Long Ride Division of Law Enforcement United, Inc. (LEU), a non-profit organization of officers and survivors from various parts of the United States.
A group of federal, state and local law enforcement officers will pedal on bicycles for 810 miles through California, and will be in Madera on Saturday, May 2. They will stop at the Law Enforcement Memorial in Madera’s Courthouse to honor local fallen officers. The group of riders will come from the direction of Chowchilla and are estimated to arrive around 11:15 a.m.
“There, we will honor our fallen brothers and sisters and remember their families left behind,” said Rich Gallo, LEU Long Ride Director from New York, NY.
