County residents can expect service rate hike

Residents of the Indian Lakes and Sumner Hill areas can expect to see an increase in their water and sewage bill soon.

This follows the 4-0 decision by the Madera County Supervisors to approve the increases during Tuesday’s meeting.

County Supervisors chose to adopt resolutions that would raise service rates for both areas after holding public hearings on the topic. There were no comments from the public opposing the recommended action.
