Auditor announces financial report completed

David Richstone, CPA, Madera County Auditor Controller recently reported that the County’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for Fiscal Year 2025 was completed on time, and presented Madera County’s financial position fairly, in all material respects, in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.

The Auditor Controller serves as the Chief Accounting Fiscal Officer for the County, providing independent oversight and safeguarding public assets. The ACFR is audited by external independent CPA auditors, and covers all financial statements of the County’s governmental activities, the business-type activities, each major fund, the aggregate remaining fund information, and the related notes to the financial statements.

Additionally, the County’s Fiscal Year 2025 Single Audit Report, which is the Independent Auditors’ Report of the County’s Compliance for each Major Federal Program, Report on Internal Control over Compliance, and Report on the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards, was also completed on-time.
