Tami Jo Nix, 69, died May 5, 2025 in Madera.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Madera. She was a journalist and photographer for The Madera Tribune, and a Notary Public. She was former National Secretary and National Director-At-Large of the Toy Train Operating Society. In 1997, she was awarded an honorary life membership for her years of service to the organization.

She was an avid collector of train related items and advertising icons in all forms. She was an avid reader and had read all of the Perry Mason novels and everything written by Stephen King. She had personally autographed photos of Frank Sinatra and Raymond Burr. An autographed Stephen King first edition graced her collection as well.
