Tesoro Viejo and Association of the United States Army Central California Chapter 6105 hosted the fifth Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony last Thursday to honor the sacrifice of those lost at the fateful attack on Pearl Harbor, and the attack’s survivors.

On this anniversary of “a date which will live in infamy,” Sally Orme Moreno, Madera County District Attorney, served as the keynote speaker. The ceremony took place at the master-planned community’s Town Center, and included a performance of “God Bless America” and “Amazing Grace,” as well as the Eight Bells Ceremony, marking the passing of a sailor.

The Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day coincided with the date and time of the first attack by Japanese planes.
