The Matilda Torres Toros baseball team honored its seniors before a game with the Madera South Stallions and its seniors came through to walk it off.
The Toros entered the bottom of the seventh inning trailing by a run. They quickly tied the score and senior Matt Escoto walked it off with his second RBI of the game for a 4-3 victory Tuesday at Matilda Torres.
The walk-off overshadowed solid pitching performances by both teams. Torres’ Kevin Osuna got a no-decision with 5 1/3 innings pitched. He allowed three runs, two earned on four hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Chris Capelluti picked up the win in relief with 1 2/3 innings. He allowed one hit and struck out two.
