The City of Madera is growing, updates show

During the most recent Madera City Council meeting, Council Members listened to several informational reports, including an update from Mid Valley Disposal, who also recognized their recycler of the year, along with informational reports on the city’s water division, and a comprehensive financial statement for fiscal year ending June 30, 2024.

Mid Valley Disposal gave its annual report, giving details of the service provider’s activity and a snapshot of Madera’s recycling efforts during the March 19 meeting. Mid Valley Owner Joseph Kalpakoff gave the report with several members of his team before announcing The Vineyard Restaurant and Bar as its 2024 recycler of the year.

Mid Valley recently completed Madera’s curbside cleanup, one of the largest in the Valley, in four weeks instead of the anticipated six it was expected to take. They picked up over 3.5 million pounds of trash not including mattresses, metals, e-waste or organic materials.
