Sheriff’s deputies on Monday were trying to identify a suspect in a stabbing at a service station in North Fork.
The assault, which took place Feb. 14, reportedly occurred as a verbal altercation rose to the level of a fight.
The Sheriff’s Office was called by the victim at about 7:59 that morning, according to Kayla Serratto of the sheriff’s office.
Deputy Jose Villegas responded to the call, which took him to the Gas N’ Stuff service station, located at 33127 Road 222.
Upon arrival at the scene, Villegas learned that there had been a verbal exchange between the victim and the suspect, which escalated into the stabbing. The victim sustained stab wounds to his hand, which were treated at the scene by Sergeant Jacob Tallmon after emergency medical services were refused.
The suspect was described by witnesses as a white male adult, approximately 5’8” and 150 pounds, with facial hair (goatee), and short, light colored hair. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket with a blue and black hoodie underneath, and blue jeans.
He left the scene in a white GMC Sonoma pickup truck with an unknown blonde female. The female is described by witnesses as a white female adult, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
