The Madera Foundation of Athletic Needs (F.A.N.) is hosting a Madera Cross Country Alumni Dinner on August 15 at the Madera Municipal Golf Course banquet room.
The dinner is open to any male or female cross country runners from Madera, Madera South and Matilda Torres high schools.
Also, long-time Madera Coyote cross country coaching legend Dennis DeWitt will attend the dinner, and will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner, catered by Sugar Pine at the Muni, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $60, and a table of 10 is $600.
There will be a silent auction, a desert auction, and a 50/50 raffle that will benefit all three high school cross country teams. Also being donated are items from Mexican National Track team member Eduardo “Lalo” Herrera, a Madera South alumna, and some of his friends to help benefit the teams.
The dinner is for the running community to enjoy an evening reminiscing the past with fellow runners while supporting the running community.
In addition, every cross country championship plaque will be displayed, as well as photos from every team.
