Madera Police officers contacted 38-year-old Douglas Cheslik, who was found passed out in his vehicle parked in front of Auto Zone last week.
Cheslik was determined to be under the influence of narcotics and ultimately placed under arrest Friday evening.
During a subsequent search of his vehicle, an unregistered firearm with two different caliber uppers were found inside. Both types of caliber ammunition were also found inside the vehicle.
