Ministerial association and Chamber host annual event

National Day of Prayer is observed each year on the first Thursday of May. It is a day set for each person in the nation to come together and pray.

The Madera Ministerial Association in conjunction with Madera Chamber of Commerce hold the annual Prayer Breakfast at Hatfield Hall at the Madera Fairgrounds on this special day each year.

The national theme for this year’s observance, which comes from the scripture in 2 Samuel 22:29-31, is, “Lift up the world; light up the world.” The event brought about 300 people in attendance.
