The Madera County School Board of Education presented Fairmead Elementary School with an Award of Excellence in recognition of its designation as a Model Professional Learning Community at Work School.
Under the leadership of Principal Cassie Cox, this award recognizes the perseverance and commitment to sustained collaboration and improved student learning and academic growth.
The recognition also reflects the dedication of the Fairmead staff and the broader team effort across the Chowchilla Elementary School District, with support and leadership from Superintendent Doug Collins, Assistant Superintendent Michelle White, and the Board of Trustees.
Fairmead Elementary School joins an elite group of approximately 600 schools and districts across the United States and Canada that have earned this distinction.
Of approximately 10,000 school sites in California, Fairmead Elementary School is one of just 59 school sites recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community at Work School this year.
