Harris or Trump?

Veterans’ Voices is directed toward veterans and their families who have given so much to ensure our freedom in this country. This is an area where you may share your experiences, or read of other veterans’ experiences. We thank you for your service, and hope that you know how much you are loved and appreciated.

This is a good question on the minds of not only veterans, but the rest of the more than 300 million people here in the United States.

Being a republican or democrat to me does not make a difference. It is the person, and their policies, that I vote for. Of course, I am not a liberal by any means. I am a conservative, like most veterans. I like the idea of being able to hold on to traditional values and free enterprise.

When it comes to voting for our nation’s commander-in-chief, I feel we must approach it with discernment. We should not vote for our next president based on personality or rhetoric alone, but rather for policies that will directly affect us and our fellow servicemembers, both active and retired. We also should look at their past, especially if they held the office of the President, and ask ourselves what polices they had and did they enforce them helping the American people.
