Madera County Master Gardeners have been as busy as bees out at the 3 Sisters Demonstration Garden working toward a free public event we think you will enjoy as it has something for everyone! It’s our first 3 Sisters Garden Fall Festival so please come celebrate autumn with us on October 24, 10-2 p.m.
Have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews? There are children’s activities planned from learning the life cycle of a pumpkin to decorating them to all about owls to even a scavenger hunt for those seeking a challenge! Children will also be able to take home free books!
In addition, fun family games like fishing for apples, corn hole, catching a bobbing pumpkin and more will be a part of the festivities!
Do you have a fondness for pygmy goats dressed in Halloween costumes? One of our master gardeners will be sharing her grandson’s goats — sure to be a delightful treat!
Are you looking to jump start your fall and winter garden with perennials, cool season flowers and vegetables? Master gardeners have been hard at work propagating a wide variety of plants perfect for the cooler months. Our fall plant sale will be on full display! Bring in this article to get $1 off any plant purchases of $10 or more.
Have gardening questions that need answering? Go no further than our help table staffed by master gardeners eager to assist in solving your gardening needs!
Already looking ahead to simple and imaginative gifts for yourself now or for the ones you love during the holiday season, then our master gardeners can help you there as well! Our Garden Art Crew has created some lovely art that just might tickle your fancy!
