The southbound No. 2 lane of State Route 99 from Avenue 24 1/2 to Avenue 24 will be closed on Sunday.
The one mile closure south of Chowchilla will take place from 4 a.m.-noon. The closure is needed as crews will be doing pump house maintenance work on that stretch of highway.
There are no ramp closures planned.
Closures may continue for longer periods of time, if necessary, due to delays caused by weather or other uncontrollable events that may occur.
Caltrans reminds you to drive with extra care and allow additional time while traveling near construction zones. Please be alert for construction personnel and remember to “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
