The Matilda Torres Toros baseball team fell into a 2-0 hole two batters into the game, but scored the next eight runs and 11 of the final 13 for a victory over Central at Torres.
The Toros tied the score in the bottom of the first, scored six in the third and came back with three runs after Central scored a run in the fifth and sixth innings Wednesday.
Matt Escoto picked up the win in five-plus innings of work. He allowed four runs on five hits. He walked four and struck out four. Kevin Osuna came in relief and didn’t allow a hit over the final two innings with two walks and a strikeout.
