The 13th seeded Madera South Stallions boys soccer team had another upset in sight in its Div. I Central Section quarterfinal match against No. 5 Buchanan.
The Stallions took a 2-1 lead with seven minutes left in overtime, but the Bears scored just before the final whistle.
Buchanan then defeated Madera South, 5-4, in the shootout to end the Stallions’ upset bid.
