Sierra Vista staff and students celebrate their recognition as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) work school.

Sierra Vista Elementary School has been recognized by Solution Tree as a Promising Practices Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Work® for its early success in improving student achievement and strong commitment to collaborative professional learning.

PLCs are schools where educators work together in ongoing, job-embedded learning to ensure all students succeed. The PLC at Work process is built on three core principles: a focus on learning, a collaborative culture, and a results-driven approach.

Promising Practices schools are selected for building a strong foundation in these principles, maintaining implementation for at least one to two years, and demonstrating measurable improvements in student outcomes. Schools must also document their practices, structures, and culture for the PLC Review Committee.
