From July 3-5, the Madera County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center handled 1,088 incoming calls, including 355 9-1-1 calls.
From illegal fireworks to disturbances to fires, MCSO deputies responded across the county to ensure the safety of our community.
The MCSO responded to 21 fire calls, 71 firework-related calls and two calls for search and rescue.
At Bass Lake, MCSO’s Boat Patrol contacted 3,456 people, and completed 722 vessel stops. The MCSO goal isn’t to ruin a fun weekend, only to keep all of all lake-goers safe, and they do that through proactive enforcement and education.
The MCSO boat patrol executed 503 inspections and terminated 44 voyages for hazardous reason.
The MCSO is also grateful for zero boating fatalities, zero serious boating accidents, zero reported boating injuries, and zero boating-under-the-influence arrests. That’s a win for everyone.
