Madera County Sheriff’s Office K9 Deputy Eliza Hernandez responded to a suspicious vehicle parked on the 28000 block of Cholla Avenue on Thursday.
The driver, 38-year-old John Bartollome, appeared to be under the influence and became combative when contacted.
With support from additional deputies and the CHP, Deputy Hernandez safely detained Bartollome following a brief struggle.
