The 33rd annual Interact Haunted House is happening, say members of the high-school-age club.

Put together by 50-plus teenage members of the Interact Club (sponsored by the Madera Sunrise Rotary), the haunted house has been materializing around the clock since early September thanks to those who are decorating their new location, the old Madera jail along West 6th Street.

At only $5 per person you can experience a one-of-a kind haunted walk-through at the old Madera jail. The proceeds go to repairing medical facilities, repainting buildings, constructing playgrounds, and other community activities in Mexico.

Interact President Isha Bains, who has been with Interact since her freshman year of high school, said the club has more than 100 members who hold fundraisers around the community to pay for their annual Haunted House.

The Haunted House will be open on Oct. 27-31, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at 201 West 6th Street.
