Reminiscing about days gone by often gives us a warm, fuzzy feeling. Nostalgia takes over, and we remember things and events from our childhood and youth.
I have many fond memories of my family, and much of what helps me remember those fond memories is what I have in my home. Items that came from my parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents are very meaningful to me.
Before we moved to Madera, my husband and I lived in a house in Fresno for about five years. We were very close friends with our next-door neighbors, and spent quite a bit of time with them. It was a family of five, and the parents were about the same age as we were, Doug and Kathy. Doug was a funny guy, and we always enjoyed his humor.
