The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Local Host Committee of Madera County is hosting its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration on Sunday, January 14.
The reception will begin at 2 p.m., at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, 601 Lilly Street. Festivities will begin at 2:30 p.m. The public is invited to this special celebration, and admission is free.
This year’s theme is “I, too, have a dream!” Three students from local schools will speak on the topic incorporating the theme and King’s ideals into their personal experiences and goals.
