Supervisors honor Old Timer’s Day celebration

The Madera County Board of Supervisors were met with a busy agenda during their regular meeting.

On Tuesday’s agenda were several proclamations, presentations, and public hearings. A proclamation recognized the week of September 23-28 as the 93rd annual celebration of Old Timer’s Week. Dennis Hart of the Madera Historical Society was present to receive the proclamation.

In the tradition of the celebration, the County Supervisors honored lifelong Madera residents Phil and Klina Oberti, who were chosen as this years Old Timer’s Day King and Queen. The Obertis have been instrumental in the shaping of downtown Madera and the community.
