For The Madera Tribune

Some of the 41 banners are displayed on State Route 41 heading towards Yosemite National Park.

Collaboration unites the mountain communities

OAKHURST — The journey along State Route 41 toward Yosemite National Park is now adorned with 25 stunning, hand-painted banners welcoming visitors and residents to the area.

Initiated by the Eastern Madera County Foundation Beautification & Planning Committee, the project beautifies this popular road, and profoundly enriches the local community. It celebrates and elevates the unique talents of local artists, fostering a strong sense of pride and togetherness in the community.

This collaboration between the EMCF Beautification & Planning Committee and Visit Yosemite | Madera County unites the region’s passion for the arts, the business community, and local property owners.
