Madera Unified will host its 14th annual FIRST® Robotics Competition event, “Madtown Throwdown” on Saturday and Sunday at Matilda Torres High School.
The free and open community event will include 29 robotic teams from throughout California and feature over 50 robots in the competition.
The Madtown Robotics Team 1323, which has won World Championships in 2019 and 2023, will feature two robots in the event. Team coaches say that the competition will prepare them to defend their world title at the World Championships in Houston, Texas, in April 2024.
