Volleyball, tennis teams ready for section playoffs

The Liberty Hawks and the Madera South Stallions girls volleyball teams ended its season last week and were not really rewarded for a successful season.

The Madera South girls finished in third place in the North ysoemite League with a 6-4 record. However, they were given the No. 15 seed in the Central Section volleyball playoffs released Friday. Their reward is a battle with No. 2 seed Fresno Christian.

Meanwhile, the Liberty girls volleyball team also had a winning record in the Northwest Sequoia Conference, but they were also given the No. 15 seed in the Div. V Central Section playoffs. They will play at No. 2 Cesar Chavez in Bakersfield in Tuesday.
