Update on stabbing incident

Madera Police Department Officers responded to the 2100 block of N. Schnoor Ave. regarding a report of a stabbing January 31 at about 5:45 p.m.

Two adult females were on the floor of the business. Officers contacted both females, and quickly detained a suspect who was still in possession of a knife. The female victim sustained serious injuries during the altercation.

EMS arrived on scene and transported the female victim to the airport where she was airlifted to Community Reginal Medical Center in Fresno.
