Two-sport star earns Hall of Fame induction

Most known for her volleyball prowess, Melanie Spigelmyre earned induction with the 10th class of Madera Athletic Hall of Famers.

Spigelmyre is a 1984 Madera High School graduate and played volleyball and basketball all four years. She also ran track her freshman year.

She earned All-League honors at Madera, and also played outside hitter at Fresno State. Her Fresno State volleyball team earned induction into the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame last year.
