Madera’s Isaiah Sanchez beats Madera South’s Chris Huerta in a race to the first base bag to avoid getting doubled up during Monday’s game at Mel Parker field.

The Madera Coyotes baseball team scored seven runs in the first two innings and didn’t look back in a 9-2 victory over the Madera South Stallions in Mel Parker Field.

The Coyotes scored three runs in the first and four runs in the second. The Stallions showed some fight with two runs in the fourth, but the Coyotes took momentum back with a pair of runs in the fifth for the win.

Jeevan Bains got the win on the mound with two runs, one earned over the first three innings. He allowed two hits and struck out four.
