For the Madera Coyote girls basketball team, it seems like injuries is a contagious disease after its latest loss last week.

The Coyotes were outscored 31-12 in the second half of Thursday’s 50-23 loss to the Sunnyside Wildcats. In addition to injuries, the Coyotes also turned the ball over 34 times with 23 coming in the open court, leading to steals.

Also, the Coyotes shot 14 percent (7-of-51) from the field and made just one out of 17 from 3-point range (6 percent).
