Torres grabs big win over Sanger

The Matilda Torres Torres girls basketball team jumped out to the early lead and didn’t let up until the game was over for a 59-49 victory over the Sanger Apaches in non-conference action on November 20. 

The Toros jumped out to a 36-18 lead at the half and cruised to the 10-point win. They forced 27 turnovers and went to the free throw line 38 times, although they only made 15. 

Sabrina Cerrillo scored 21 points to go with eight rebounds and five steals. However, she went 6-of-20 from the free throw line. J’Lynn Mitchell added 18 points to go with 16 rebounds with eight on the offensive glass.
