Torres’ Amani Sua outruns the Washington Union defense during a 66-yard touchdown run in Friday’s loss. Sua rushed for three touchdowns and 175 yards in the loss.

The Matilda Torres Toros tied the score against the Washington Union Panthers, but two unanswered touchdowns led the Panthers to a 35-21 victory Friday in the Toros Stadium.

The Toros officially cut the ribbon on the new stadium earlier in the day and showcased the masterpiece before a television audience. They gave them a show and were close to claiming their first victory of the season.

In the end, the Toros could not contain the explosive Panthers in the loss while the Toros couldn’t capitalize on their opportunities.
