Toros rally late for win over Coyotes

Trailing two games to one, the Matilda Torres Toros rallied for a fourth set victory over the Madera Coyotes in the season opener Tuesday in Joe Flores Gym.
The Toros rallied from an 18-16 deficit in the fourth set to win the set 27-25 after 12 straight side out. They overtook the Coyotes in the fifth set, 15-8 to win the tightly contested match.
The Toros outscored the Coyotes 104-101 in the five-set victory. However, the Coyotes recorded 59 kills to Torres’ 53.
