Matilda Torres shortstop Mylah Avila stretches out to receive a throw from right field to force out a Fresno runner at second base in the second inning of Tuesday’s win.

The Matilda Torres Toros softball team’s offense did just enough for a 13-11 victory Tuesday over the Fresno Warriors.

The Toros jumped out to a 12-5 lead with a six-run fourth, but held off a Warrior charge in the final innings. Fresno scored three runs in the fifth and sixth to get the game close.

Olivea Luna picked up the win with 3 1/3 innings in the start. She allowed four runs on six hits with one strikeout. Layla Webster allowed seven runs, four earned, on eight hits with four walks over two innings.
